The play relates the final throes of a patient suffering from liver cancer in the 1970s, when treatment was limited. The story covers the entire gamut of the patient’s relationship with the disease – right from the revelation of his fatal predicament to the harrowing journey that follows. At the heart of the narrative is the patient’s (in)ability to deal with the pain that accompanies his illness and the effect that it has on his family and those around him.

Cock takes a playful, candid look at one man’s sexuality and the difficulties that arise when you realize you have a choice. John, an apparently gay young man lives with M, a spiky stockbroker. While taking a break from their relationship, John has an encounter with W. This sparks unexpected sexual excitement, and suddenly his whole existence is in turmoil.

But a chance meeting with a stranger, a blind man at Koparkhairane Station at 1.30am changes his view about life. A play based on the theory of relativity. There is nothing called co-incidence. Everything happens for a good reason and things that do not happen are always for a better reason.
